Otiz Cannelloni combines the illusion of magic and the wit of stand up to produce a hybrid comic creation. With a mind more suited to testing crash helmets, his performance fluctuates between sheer genius and downright stupidity. Just when you suspect he doesn’t have a clue, Cannelloni removes all doubt.
When this man is on stage the dressing room empties, as the rest of the comics rush to watch and learn from his mistakes. It’s taken years of practice to make something so simple look so difficult.
Television appearances include: –The Stand Up Show BBC 1 and Stuff The White Rabbit BBC 2.
Originally from the tropical island of Barbados, Nico has been setting the London comedy circuit alight with his unique blend of Caribbean flavoured comedy. Whether he is delivering hilarious stories about growing up in Barbados or his new life in London, his laid back style and charm immediately win audiences over and leave them wanting more. He is always a crowd favourite, especially with the ladies.
Though he has only been performing for just over two years Nico has performed on the professional night at the Comedy Store and been invited back to do longer slots.
He has also won the Comedy Café New Act night on both occasions he took part in it.
Nico also comperes for the Lions Den Comedy Club and hosts some of the Monday nights at the Theatre Royal Stratford East.
Stand-up comedian and winner of the King Gong show at The Comedy Store Manchester January 2013. Tall, dark, handsome AND funny James Shakeshaft is proof that you CAN have it all. This finalist in most of the new act comedy competitions is modest and exceptionally good at writing about himself in the third person. James has been performing all over the country making audiences laugh with his ever so slightly off kilter views on everyday life including eggs, names of fruit and why he is banned from the greengrocers.
Sam Russell – born in a domestic bathroom, 1989. At 5 he once did stand-up at a family friend’s birthday and got shouted at for being too mean to the guests. Traumatised, he took an 18-year gap from comedy.
In 2011, Sam co-founded the improv group SHOOT FROM THE HIP!, performing a 2 hour show at the TOP SECRET COMEDY CLUB every week in Covent Garden since November 2011. And in January 2014, SFTH started their second residency at ANGEL COMEDY, every Monday night: Meaning that at a conservative estimate Sam has done over 1000 hours of comedy improv.
In 2014, a comedian at Top Secret saw Sam do the opening 10 minutes of crowd work and warm up for the improv show, asking him if he would like to try some stand up at his night in London Bridge. Nervously saying yes… it turned out to the start of a career in stand up comedy.
Becoming a regular of the London Comedy Circuit, Sam now performs around the country and internationally.
