Mark Dolan is a comedian, broadcaster and writer.
Mark has just emerged unscathed from a stint on Channel 4’s The Jump.
Best known as host of Channel 4’s iconic comedy series Balls of Steel, Mark also fronted three hit series of globetrotting documentaries for C4 (The World’s …and me) – in which he met the most extraordinary people on the planet, including the smallest man, tallest woman, richest teenager, cleverest child and the owner of the world’s largest breasts! A Sunday Times bestselling book followed, The World’s Most Extraordinary People and Me, published by Harper Collins. A follow-up edition, “Do You Mind If I Put My Hand On It” was released two years later.
Mark’s first big break came with the C4 hidden camera comedy series The Richard Taylor Interviews, in which he starred as a lunatic boss, interviewing unsuspecting candidates for a fictional position in his company. Mark also hosted the Mad Bad Ad Show for C4 with Micky Flanagan as team captain, and spent five years at Sky 1 indulging his passion for movies as the host of their flagship film show 35mm.
Mark also launched both E4 and More 4, fronting new shows for each channel. For E4 he presented the comedy programme Show Me The Funny and for More 4, the late night topical chat show The Last Word, the very first show to air on that channel.
Other recent credits include C5’s The Cars That Made Britain Great, C4’s TV’s Greatest Detectives and C5’s The Best Of Bad TV, some of which he admits to being responsible for.
Winner of the first ever Jongleurs Competition and a seasoned regular on the circuit, Susan has emerged as one of the best female stand-ups in the UK and has just become the first ever woman to MC Decompression gigs for the British Army / CSE. She is in the top 100 Huffington Post funny women Tweeters. Susan was also recently short listed for the BBC’s year long comedy writing bursary.
As well as writing and performing for BBC Radio 1 on ‘The Milk Run’ she also received a writing bursary from the BBC Northern Comedy Dept. More recently she wrote and starred in the topical web show ‘Britain’s Got People’ with Dave Cohen.
Susan is working nationally for the majority of promoters and clubs in the UK and also works internationally. Her versatility means that as well as corporate gigs Susan works Biker Festivals and music festivals including Glastonbury, Bestival, The Big Chill, Reading, V, Endorse It In Dorset, Download.
Acting credits include starring in the TV comedy drama “Love, Lies and Lipstick” for ITV, Arthur Smith Sings Leonard Cohen (Pleasance, Edinburgh Festival and Garrick London) and Itch Scratch at The Pleasance Theatre.
Brilliantly wry and award winning comic (Best Show – Dave’s Leicester Comedy Festival 2012) – Chris Stokes has been performing stand-up professionally since 2009. His career has seen him support the likes of Milton Jones, Pete Firman and Stewart Francis on tour, appear on ‘Dave’s One Night Stand’ (Channel Dave), BBC Radio 4, 5Live and Radio X (formerly XFM) and take four critically acclaimed solo shows to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
With a hilarious and erudite turn of phrase, Stokes has been described as playing on social misconceptions and dismantling them both on stage and on the page via gag-packed first-hand anecdotes told with a charming and offbeat sincerity.
As well as stand-up and writer, Chris is also a talented actor having started in a number of plays, both comedy and drama and is also one quarter of new sketch comedy group The Mitford Sisters.
