Cally is a natural storyteller full of intelligent, distinctive and punchline-rich material. Her act is a
rollercoaster ride of anecdotes, observations and stuff even your best mate wouldn’t admit to.
She is listed in Chortle’s: 2017 Comedians To Watch and her Finalist credits include: Fresh Comedy Knights 2016, Max Turner Prize 2016, Bath Comedy Festival 2016 and Gotham Comedy New Talent New York 2015.
Cally took her first show, Cat Call, to Edinburgh in 2016 with comedy partner Catherine Bohart, where it received a Malcolm Hardee Award. Her debut solo show, Super Cally Fragile Lipstick, was a sell-out hit at Edinburgh in 2017, receiving 4**** reviews, national press coverage and picked as Best of Edinburgh Fringe by The Arts Desk.
She has appeared several times on BBC Radio 4, including most recently on Museum of Comedy, and her first episode of QI on BBC2 is due for transmission in January 2018. She is a popular and seasoned speaker and MC on the corporate and after-dinner circuits.
Cally relishes engaging with live audiences and turning gender stereotypes on their head.
James has established himself as resident MC for a number of professional clubs, including the prestigious Spinnaker Tower Comedy Club, Laughter Live! and Comedy All Stars, was asked to perform at the Children In Need Gala at The King’s Theatre.
James regularly stars in TV adverts too, as well as starring in Channel 4’s “Eye Spy” prank show in 2014 and Sky TV’s “Scared of Santa!” in 2015.
He also regularly gigs abroad travelling to Cyprus, Spain, Egypt, Crete, Turkey and various corporates including performing in Switzerland for Nestle in 2014 and in New York at Christmas in 2015.
James has an effervescent and exuberant style. He draws on his life experiences to feed his routines. He’s been described by many as an ‘everyman comedian’.
Hot newcomer Ross Smith is taking the comedy circuit (and the internet) by storm. Having only started gigging in 2015, he’s a regular at some of the capital’s biggest comedy clubs. His personable, relaxed style and contemporary material, underpinned by clever wordplay and self deprecating humour, has made him one of the country’s most exciting emerging acts.
In 2018, he made headlines around the world when he agreed to go on holiday with complete strangers, taking the place of another man called Ross Smith.
