Jonny Awsum exploded onto the comedy scene with a crowd-pleasing set, performing his special feel-good brand of musical comedy all over the world and becoming a much sought-after live act.
In 2017, Jonny was broadcast to huge acclaim on the nation’s biggest-rating ITV show, Britain’s Got Talent. Performing alongside Ant & Dec, Jonny won a standing ovation from the theatre audience, a unanimous vote of approval from the judges and was seen by 11 million TV viewers. Jonny was broadcast numerous times throughout the series and made it all the way to the Live Semi-Finals. His performances on the show have been viewed more than 10 million times on YouTube.
Jonny has also appeared on the BBC Radio 2 Arts Show, featured as a guest-presenter on Absolute Radio and written three hit Edinburgh Festival Fringe shows. He was proud to make his panto debut this Christmas, starring as Billy Trott in the Croydon Pantomime!
Having exploded on to the stand up circuit last year, multi award winning Alistair Williams has quickly made a name for himself with razor sharp content and high-watt charm. He’s already become a regular at the UK’s most famous venues including The Comedy Store and Up the Creek and is constantly building an ever-growing international presence.
Unafraid of tackling rough subject matter, Alistair is also a passionate health campaigner. Combining raw personal anecdotes with a jam packed gag count and slick extroverted style, he creates bespoke comedy content to challenge the food and health industries, regularly grabbing the attention of leading megabrands. He’s also a history graduate and constantly exploring the subject via his stand up. Both themes will feature heavily in his new 2018 Edinburgh Fringe hour.
Smart, passionate, impressively quick witted and bursting with infectious confidence, this is stand up that grabs your attention and Alistair Williams is quickly solidifying his place as one of stand up’s most exciting rising stars.
Rob Mulholland fell into comedy after finding a flyer looking for acts to appear at Harrogate Comedy Festival on the ground outside his front door like he would have done in a film starring Bradley Cooper. In the years since, he has clocked up a huge amount of gigs and can now be seen most weekends in some of the biggest clubs in the country. As an act or compere, he regularly induces labour/heart attacks with his intricately woven, gag-packed stories; adding a touch of the absurd to his askance glance at everyday life. According to him, Rob is 17 feet tall, made of steel and can jump over a mini cooper from a standing start.
Rob won Hilarity Bites New Act of the Year, Beat the Frog World Series Champion, Funhouse Comedy Champion of Champions in 2015 and came third in the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2016. He has appeared at the last three Edinburgh Fringe Festivals and debuted his first solo show “Popular Comedian Rob Mulholland” in 2017 to critical confusion and audience acclaim. Rob can be heard every week on his podcast “Sort Your Life Out With Rob Mulholland”, is the voice of Death on Panelbeaters, and has performed on BBCR4xtra
“Very, very tall and equally as talented” TimeOut
“Hilarious stand-up…unflinchingly real and open” Broadway Baby
“Very stable, I’d happily sign a will on him” Johnny Vegas
