Lloyd Griffith is a comedian, a choirboy and an ‘aspiring’ goalkeeper. He’s the co-host of Soccer AM on Sky Sports every Saturday morning and is also the face of BBC3’s Taxi to Training.
You may have also seen Lloyd in Bounty Hunters (Sky), Comedy Central Live at The Comedy Store (Comedy Central), Roast Battle (Comedy Central), Drunk History (Comedy Central), Football’s Funniest Moments (Sky), In Off The Bar (Sky Sports), Rugby’s Funniest Moments (Sky), The Premier League Show (BBC2).
He recently supported Jack Whitehall and Rob Beckett on their respective sold out UK tours including dates at Liverpool Echo, Newcastle Metro, Manchester, Leeds and Wembley Arenas and Hammersmith Apollo. Lloyd also had to extend his first UK tour into 2018 after the 2017 leg sold out
Danny Buckler began his career in the mid-Nineties as a magician – working the shop floor of Harrods. From there, he was soon invited to perform at private functions for the likes of Liam Gallagher, Bruce Willis and the Sultan of Brunei, and began to perform on the stand-up circuit.
Initially conjuring remained the mainstay of his act – he performed an Edinburgh Fringe show in 2003 with fellow magician-comedian Mandy Muden – although he has more recently adopted a storytelling approach.
He has entertained the troops in Bosnia, Belfast, The Falkland Islands and Diego Garcia and supported Victoria Wood on her 2001 national tour.
On TV he has appeared in the BBC 1 primetime Saturday night specials Secrets of Magic, and has been a warm-up act for recordings of Dead Ringers and Dinnerladies, among others.
He also has a keen interest in horror films of the Thirties and kung-fu.
Ben Pope was the Piccadilly Comedy Club New Comedian of the Year Winner 2017 and has placed as a finalist in So You Think You’re Funny and Comedy Cafe New Act of the Year 2015. He started comedy at university where he was the President of the Cambridge Footlights (2013-14) and has been doing stand-up for seven years (as an act and MC). He has toured internationally with the Footlights, and gigs regularly as a stand-up across the UK. Ben has previously worked with the award-winning NewsRevue, and appeared on Comedy Central’s Achievement Unlocked and BBC New Comedy Award on Radio 4 Extra.
He is also one third of the cult sketch group Princes of Main who were part of the line-up at London SketchFest in 2016, host the monthly mixed-bill nightCrazy Science Stupid Magic and have had sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2016 and 2017. Their critically acclaimed show New Year’s Eve (‘the future of sketch comedy is in safe hands’ – The Telegraph) transferred to London’s Soho Theatre in early 2018.
Finalist at The Great Yorkshire Fringe Comedian of the Year and a regular perform in the London Circuit, Ali Woods is a great performer and even greater ranter. His view of the world leaves the audience in stitches, as he explains how his life has lead from mishap to mishap. A truly talented story teller.
