Steve Best is a great visual comedian, harnessing a mind-boggling array of gadgets and gags to keep his audience in stitches. Funny, frenetic and mad, his act can feature anything from blowing up a woman and eating balloons, to cutting his hand off and doing press-ups on his willy. His unique form of slapstick comedy is backed up with astounding talent; he plays the guitar like a genius, can juggle 5 balls, ride a unicycle and is fluent in Serbo-Croatian.
Steve has performed his unique style of comedy all over the world, and hopes to go even further afield. As well as performing in such places as Bali, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Cape Town, Bosnia, The Falkland Islands, he has played in near enough damn it every comedy club in Britain. He has supported Frank Skinner, Craig Charles and Omid Djalili on huge nationwide tours.
Steve co-produced the very first show Abnormally Funny People in 2005, and along with Simon Minty registered Abnormally Funny People Ltd in July 2006. Steve is the ‘token’ non-disabled participant.
Steve’s many TV credits include The Stand-Up Show (BBC1), The Big Stage (C5), and more recently twice on The Slammer (CBBC).
Cheeky Northern comedienne Julie Jepson burst onto the comedy circuit in 2005 when she reached the final of the Funny Women Comedy Awards 2005 on only her 3rd gig.
Since then she has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe festival, the Brighton Comedy festival as well as being invited onto the Funny Women National Theatre tour. Julie also appeared live on ITV’s ‘The Richard Hammond 5 O’Clock Show’
She regularly performs in comedy clubs up and down the country. Ms Jepson is an arresting and animated comedic presence. She mixes bubbly, conversational and wonderfully pithy stage patter with an array of wonderful comic voices, whilst persuasively guiding the punter through her curious worldview with a disarming charm.
Charming Yorkshireman Craig is one of the hottest talents on the UK comedy circuit. He’s also a very talented actor and presenter; a graduate of The Court Theatre Training Company.
Having started his comedy career as a resident MC at The Funny Side Comedy Clubs, he’s a master of audience interaction and comedy improvisation. He’s currently recognisable to many as the face (and voice) of Plusnet Broadband.
“Bloody funny” – Jo Brand
He supported Stephen K Amos on his 2015/16 UK tour ‘The Laughter Master’ & at the Udderbelly Festival in Summer 2016 on London’s Southbank.
He’s been selected for the ‘AAA’ showcase show (Late) for the full run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2016 (Pleasance Courtyard).
He performed at the legendary comedy night ‘LATE N LIVE’ at the Gilded Balloon (main room) at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2015.
He performed on the ‘Stephen K Amos Talk Show’ at the Gilded Balloon at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2015.
