JOIN GAG HOUSE COMEDY for an incredibly important night in their comedy calendar as they present Headway Gag House Comedy Club to raise funds for Surrey charity Headway at Guildford’s Harbour Hotel on Thursday, October 5.
Headway provide support and services for those affected by brain injury across Surrey and this special event, sponsored by Chapters Financial, will see all proceeds going directly to support the brilliant work of Headway.
Not only does your attendance mean you’re doing you’re bit for a terrific local charity – but Gag House Comedy have assembled some of the best comics from the UK Comedy Circuit with Mark Felgate, Javier Jarquin and Mark Dolan ready to entertain you, as well as headliners The Raymond and Mr Timpkins Revue, who simply have to be seen to be believed!
Gag House Comedy Director Nick Wyschna says: “Ever since setting up Guildford Fringe in 2012, raising money for local charities has always been very important to me. I was made aware of the wonderful work that Headway Surrey do by one of our sponsors.
“I am so happy that we are able to help, even in a small way, by putting on this Comedy Club specifically to raise much needed funds for the charity: every penny of the ticket sales is going directly to Headway and this is made possible because of the sponsorship from local business, Chapters Financial. I really hope to see a full room at The Harbour Hotel, sharing laughter whilst raising money for this fantastic local charity.”
A man with many unique talents, Mark Felgate’s startling abilities as a ventriloquist, combined with guitar playing and a wickedly daft sense of humour, have helped him become a sought after act on the stand-up comedy circuit. Performing without a dummy, Mark throws his voice to create side-splitting routines on school life, freaking out drunks and pallbearers and the vagaries of censorship.
Known for his Card Ninja act, Javier Jarquin moved to the UK after winning So You Think You’re Funny in Christchurch and having played and headlined some of the biggest clubs in Australia and New Zealand. He was a core member of New Zealand’s longest running comedy show, Scared Scriptless, and has performed on the same bill with top names such as Jimmy Carr, Stewart Lee, Jo Brand and Paul Daniels.
Comedian, broadcaster and writer Mark Dolan has just emerged unscathed from a stint on Channel 4’s The Jump. Best known as host of Channel 4’s iconic comedy series Balls of Steel, Mark also fronted three hit series of globetrotting documentaries for C4 (The World’s …and Me) – in which he met the most extraordinary people on the planet, including the smallest man, tallest woman, richest teenager, cleverest child and the owner of the world’s largest breasts!
Headliners The Raymond and Mr Timpkins Revue are, without a doubt, the maddest, silliest, stupidest, cleverest, strangest and everything else-ist as well as the funniest double act of comedians on the circuit. They’re a prop/music driven double act, professionally dancing about and holding up words and pictures since 2004, though they’ve been enthusiastic amateurs for much longer.
After such successful events as a new Guildford Fringe Festival venue this year, it’s hoped this debut Comedy Club at Guildford’s Harbour Hotel will prove just as popular, especially given it’s all in aid of charity.
Tickets are on sale now and are £15 each! What’s there to think about? Do your bit for charity and have a laugh while you’re at it. To book your tickets, please call 0333 666 3366 or BOOK HERE
