FROM NOW ONWARDS the only place to be on the first Friday of every month is The Stoke Pub and Pizzeria, as You Must Be Stoking gets a weekend upgrade! Gag House Comedy present another smashing line-up featuring Paul McCaffrey, Rory O’Halon, Sindhi Vee and Benji Waterstones on Friday, October 6.
Previously staged on the first Wednesday of each month, You Must Be Stoking is incredibly excited about its new weekend comedy hotspot and the team are looking forward to welcoming you on the first Friday of EVERY month from October onwards!
Paul McCaffrey has quickly established himself as one of the most exciting new acts around, winning both The London Paper and the Latitude Festival new act competitions in 2009. In 2011 Paul took his debut solo stand-up show Saying Something Stupid to the Underbelly to great critical acclaim.
Paul has been heard on Russell Kane’s Whistle-Stop Tour (BBC Radio 2) and is a regular guest on The Matt Forde Show (talkSPORT). He has also done studio warm-up for The Morgana Show (Channel 4) and That Sunday Night Show (ITV 1) and can currently be seen at some of the best comedy clubs in the country.
Paul recently filmed the stand-up spot on Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC3) and is currently involved in a new entertainment show being developed by Yalli Productions for BBC3.
Having started his career in Dublin, award-winning Irish stand-up comedian and actor Rory O’ Hanlon is a firm favourite at comedy clubs across the UK, with his rapid fire delivery which regularly has audiences crying with laughter.
In addition to performing stand-up, Rory is also a prolific writer, having contributed to the Irish Post, Chortle and Hot Press magazine.
Born and brought up in India, Sindhu Vee is now based in London and splits her time between comedy and raising her three children – and gigantic Labrador. She made the finals of the BBC New Comedy Awards in 2016.
Finalist in the So You Think You’re Funny? and Leicester Square New Act competitions in 2014, and winner of the Beat The Frog World Series competition the same year, Benji Waterstones completes your Friday night comedy line-up.
